Photo-DebraGoelzAuthorDEBRA GOELZ is a refugee from Hollywood. She served for ten years as an executive for such companies as Universal Pictures and Jim Henson Productions. She puppeteered a chicken for the closing scene in Muppet Treasure Island.

Her short story My Love God Went to Hawaii and all I Got Was This Lousy Papaya was published in Once Upon Now by Simon & Schuster in 2016. Her Watty-award winning novel, Mermaids and the Vampires Who Love Them, with over 9 million reads on Wattpad, will be published by Hachette Audio October 17, 2017.

She lives with her husband in a magical redwood forest in Northern California close to the setting of MATVWLT.
